According to court papers, Sandra Klein, a bankruptcy court judge, gave Joe Francis a recommendation to spend time in jail for not turning over his luxury vehicles --- owned by Girls Gone Wild, to the attorneys who are currently dealing with the porn business bankruptcy.
The Girls Gone Wild branding, whose limited-budget commercials involve advertising co-eds on spring break, was recently sold to new owners.
Francis said he couldn’t turn over the cars, a 2012 model Bentley Flying Spur and a 2007 model Cadillac Escalade, since a Mexico-based strip club owner took them.
Klein didn’t believe in the argument and decided to fine him last month of $5,000 daily until both cars have been surrendered. The judge also ordered an arrest warrant for Abbey Wilson, Francis’ girlfriend, who manages the company involved in the legal battle.
The decision of the arrest warrant is currently in the hand of a judge that has yet been identified. Francis and Wilson will get another chance to plead their case with the new judge.
