EZ Products recently filed a lawsuit against Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. The complaint claims that the Dollar Tree has infringed a patented product and continues to carry it on their store's shelves. EZ Products, LLC alleges that the "Scrub Buddies" is an infringement of the "566 patent." In their complaint, EZ Products claims that they contacted the Dollar Tree to inform them of the alleged infringement earlier this year. However, Dollar Tree did not stop selling the product and allegedly continues to infringe on the product's patent. The complaint states further that the Dollar Tree, which does business as a registered agent has willfully committed acts of infringement. EZ Products is seeking a judgment against Dollar Tree for the infringement and they want the Dollar Tree to be permanently barred from further infringement. EZ Products also seeks to be awarded for alleged lost profits or reasonable royalty, damages, costs and attorney's fees.
