Another litigation fund created by an Irish property entrepreneur is making a promise to support cases with a lower value than most competitors are set to take.
Trusted Litigation Capital will arrive at the market sometime this fall and fund cases worth a minimum of £200,000, according to its founder.
Gearoid O Ceallaigh, who possesses a background in property and hotels, already secured a majority of seed investment to arrive at the £2 million limit for being part of the Association of Litigation Funders. He’s expected to increase more of his investment later.
O Ceallaigh recruited a group of a dozen barristers, which include QCs, to take on the panel on judging the merit of cases. Cases that have been accepted will need a skyrocketing aspect of success with a foreseeable recovery future.
TLC will be on the move to target a bigger volume of smaller cost vases, in areas which include banking, negligence, property, medical claims, institutional and defence claims.
